Podczas kolejnego spotkania z cyklu Czwartek z Dialogiem, 18 września o godzinie 17, odbędzie się projekcja filmu Souvenirs of War oraz dyskusja w formie online z jego reżyserem Georgem Zellerem.
Dokument Georga Zellera to eseistyczna podróż po Bośni, ukazująca kraj ponad dwie dekady po ostatnim wielkim konflikcie zbrojnym w Europie, gdzie miejsca naznaczone tragedią stały się dziś atrakcjami turystycznymi. Film składa się z serii spotkań ze świadkami tamtych wydarzeń. Niezależnie od tego, czy jest to dialog z ocalałymi, pogrążonymi w żałobie rodzinami czy powojennym pokoleniem grającym w wojnę na polu paintballowym – obraz ukazuje te doświadczenia w sposób wyważony i pozbawiony patosu. To swoista wyprawa wzdłuż cienkiej granicy między mroczną podróżą a empatyczną pamięcią.
Georg Zeller to włoski filmowiec niemieckiego pochodzenia, specjalizujący się w filmie dokumentalnym. Studiował w Zelig School for Documentary we Włoszech oraz w Hochschule für Künste w Berlinie. Jest absolwentem programów EAVE – European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, ESoDoc – European Social Documentary oraz programu „Crossing Borders” Fundacji Roberta Boscha/Literarisches Colloquium. Kieruje Stowarzyszeniem Filmowym Południowego Tyrolu, pracuje także jako konsultant ds.zrównoważonego rozwoju w produkcjach filmowych i wykłada na Wolnym Uniwersytecie w Bolzano.

During the next meeting in the Thursday with Dialogue series, on September 18th at 5:00 PM, there will be a screening of the film "Souvenirs of War" and an online discussion with its director, Georg Zeller.
Georg Zeller's documentary is an essayistic journey through Bosnia, depicting the country more than two decades after the last major armed conflict in Europe, where places marked by tragedy have become tourist attractions today. The film consists of a series of encounters with witnesses to those events. Whether it's a dialogue with survivors, grieving families, or the post-war generation playing war on a paintball field, the film presents these experiences in a balanced way, devoid of pathos. It's a journey along the fine line between a dark journey and empathetic memory.
Georg Zeller is an Italian- German filmmaker, specializing in documentary film. He studied at the Zelig School for Documentary in Italy and at the University of the Arts in Berlin. He is a graduate of the EAVE – European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs program, the ESoDoc – European Social Documentary program, and the "Crossing Borders" program of the Robert Bosch Foundation/Literarisches Colloquium. He heads the South Tyrol Film Association, works as a consultant on sustainability in film production, and teaches at the Free University of Bolzano.
